Case story 1 : Mr. Anthanna

Mr. Anthanna is 72 year old man lives with his wife at Kuppe Doddi.
They are neglected by their children and do not own any agriculture land. Therefore, they had two (2) milking cows and one calf as their only source of livelihood. Since they live in foothill of huge forest, they used to take their cows to forest for grazing. Initially, the cows used to give daily 20-25 litres of milk and the family was able to live happily.
However, due to severe drought, Mr.Anthanna struggled to care these cows as there was no sufficient fodder in open fields or forest. Unfortunately, they also lost one of their cows in forest as Cheetah hunted it. As a result, they could not afford to buy sufficient fodder or
take cows to jungle for grazing. It affected also milk production. During the months of April to May they were able to get hardly 10 litres per day by which they were not able to manage their life, treat cows, or procured fodder.
At this juncture, Analog intiation of fodder support became a boon in their lives. The family of Mr.
Anthanna daily came to camp, took sufficient fodder, and other health services. He is so thankful to Analog that they have saved their only livelihood cow for their lifetime. His wife expressed,”Dodda Namaskar” to Analog for helping poor families like us, please continue till rain picksup in our areas”, said with folded hands.

Case story 2 :  Mr. Venkatesh

Mr. Venkatesh lives in Hegganuru with his wife and 3 children who are studying in
Doddalahalli. He is landless farmer but has more than 22 cows as their only livelihood option. He used to grow them for milk purpose, meat and other income generating activities. He used to get also good income from cow dung with 22 cows. These cows were Hallikar i.e local breed hence, he was not able to get good quantity of milk. Approximately, he used to sell daily 18 litres of milk from these cows. All was well with Mr.Venkatesh so far.
His life became very hard since last year due to severe drought and shortage of fodder. He had no land so could not save fodder from the previous year all he has to do was to depend on open agriculture land, forest, and government / panchayat support with free fodder. Mr. Venkatesh said, that panchayat initially supported for a month with meagre fodder to
his cattle, however, as the summer came, the problem became very difficult. He is very passionate about cows, and by all means he wanted to save them. During summer, the farmer communities send all their cattle to forest for grazing during which cheetah hunted. Mr. Venkatesh like other farmers sent his cattle to forest, unfortunately, two of cows were hunted and eater by Cheetahs. Therefore, Mr. Venkatesh decided to borrow money to procure fodder to maintain his 20 cows. He also became debtor due to high cost to fodder and unable to maintain  large  numbers  of
cattle. He had lost almost all the hope to save his cattle and family.
At this juncture, Analog intervention was a God’s blessing in disguise; he was overwhelmed by fodder support as he had already became a debtor and unable to keep alive all 20 cows. “I will never forget your support sir, he said, it saved not only the life of my cows but my life also, God Bless you sir” said Mr. Venkatesh. Daily he was taking lead in the community in organizing fodder distribution and openly thanking Analog company for your timely support.
